Guide to Fixing Incorrect Keyboard Typing Issues

If your keyboard is typing the wrong characters, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

1. Check Keyboard Layout

  1. Go to Settings:

  • Open Settingsfrom the Start menu.

  • Navigate to Time & Language.

  • Select Region & Language.

Verify the Keyboard Layout:

  • Under Languages, select your language (e.g., English (United States)).

  • Click Options.

  • Ensure that the keyboard layout is set to QWERTY.

2. Update Keyboard Driver

  1. Open Device Manager:

  • Right-click on This PC.

  • Select Properties.

  • Click on Device Manager.

Update Driver:
